Depart Inverness (08:00) – Head south through the Drumochter Pass, once notorious for highwaymen. Keep your eyes open for red deer on the slopes.
Cairngorms National Park Drive – Your guide highlights peaks like Sgòr Gaoith and ancient Caledonian pine forests. Hear about local wildlife and the importance of the park for conservation.
Pitlochry – Stop for coffee and a stroll along the River Tummel. See the suspension bridge, watch salmon leap at the fish ladder during spawning season, and browse shops selling tweed and whisky.
