Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge

Tour Overview

Depart Inverness (08:30) – Travel south along the Great Glen, passing Loch Ness before following the River Oich. Listen to tales of clan battles and geology along the Caledonian Canal.
Spean Bridge Commando Memorial – Stop for photos and a moment of reflection. Your guide explains the monument’s history and points out the Nevis Range peaks.
Ben Nevis Distillery – Join a guided tour through the mash house, still house and maturation warehouse. Enjoy a tasting session and browse the shop for limited releases or whisky chocolates.
Nevis Range Gondola – Board the gondola for a 15‑minute ascent up Aonach Mòr. At the top, choose to walk to Sgurr Finnisg-aig viewpoint or relax at the Snowgoose Restaurant with a coffee and panoramic views. Keep an eye out for golden eagles soaring overhead.
Fort William – Return to the town for free time. Suggestions include:

Walk to the parade ground overlooking Loch Linnhe.
