The Scottish Highlands are a land of dramatic contrasts: snow‑topped mountains, ancient glens and deep, mysterious lochs. Here you can walk among Bronze Age cairns, stand where clans fought for freedom and hear the Gaelic language spoken in village pubs. The region stretches from the Spey Valley and the Cairngorms to the rugged western coast, encompassing iconic sites such as Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness, Glen Coe, and the Isle of Skye.
For centuries, the Highlands have been home to stories of heroes, faeries and legendary creatures. Standing stones and Pictish carvings hint at the area’s prehistoric cultures, while ruined castles recall tales of clans, battles and Jacobite uprisings. Today, visitors are drawn to the Highlands for its warm hospitality, wild beauty, rare wildlife and unique culture.
